What is a Wearable Simulator?
Technology that can be worn by a live person that protects them from invasive procedures. Inside each device, haptic technology is embedded that can cue the wearer to react to the care that is being provided.
Avkin is the leader in wearable simulators. Starting back in 2016, Avkin was founded by a nurse educator frustrated by what was currently on the market. When other companies would not implement the technology, she believed in the dream and decided to start her own company. All of our products are made in the USA by our manufacturing team.

What does Avkin mean?
Rooted in the Latin words akin and vera, we took the words and combined them. Akin, meaning of similar character, and vera meaning truth. So in our hearts, it means truly like the real thing. Our goal has always been to create the highest quality products and services that allow for education to be of similar character and truly what learners will experience at the bedside.
